MA marketing worked with European Commission Representation in the Republic of Slovenia and the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Recovery and Resilience to organize a conference on the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy with measures from the Recovery and Resilience Plan titled “TWIN TRANSITION FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH IN SLOVENIA”.
This hybrid-format conference was the second event of the Recovery and Resilience Plan in Slovenia, organized by the Representation of the European Commission in the Republic of Slovenia and the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Recovery and Resilience. The inaugural event took place in autumn 2021.
At the event, representatives from the government, business, non-governmental organizations, and the European Commission discussed the implications of the green and digital transitions for the Slovenian economy, the response of Slovenian companies, and the role of European funds.
In her opening address, Céline Gauer from the European Commission commended Slovenia for the significant work in this area and its effective use of European funds, particularly the NextGenerationEU plan, for digitalization and sustainable development through tangible projects. This sentiment was echoed by some Slovenian entrepreneurs who showcased best practices and successful projects, underscoring the need to tackle modern challenges with forward-thinking and innovation.
The conference was conducted in Slovenian and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided in both languages, along with interpretation in Slovenian sign language.
