Organising FH Europe Foundation’s Annual Network Meeting in Amsterdam

For the second year running, we had the privilege of organising and executing the FH Europe Foundation’s Annual Networking Meeting—a cornerstone event that brings together the global FH community every November. Held in Amsterdam from 10-12 November 2023, this hybrid event welcomed both in-person and online participants, reinforcing its reputation as a truly inclusive gathering. 

A Unique Format for a Diverse Audience 

The FH Europe Foundation’s Annual Network Meeting is no ordinary event. It features a dual format designed to maximise engagement and impact. Prior to the main event, four webinars focused on key lipid disorders—FH, HoFH, LP(a), and FCS—were open to the public, creating a broad educational platform. The main 2.5-day hybrid event followed, enabling people from around the world to join either in person or online. 

Our client, the FH Europe Foundation focused on uniting a rich and diverse multi-stakeholder community of patients, carers, physicians, researchers, advocates, and life sciences professionals. Under the hashtag #FHEFAnnualMeeting2023, participants from Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and North America came together with one goal: “Together, engaged for change.” 

A Meeting of Minds and Solutions 

The year’s event welcomed over 90 participants, ranging in age from 6 to over 70, representing all four familial lipid conditions FH Europe advocates for. The diversity of perspectives was inspiring—whether discussing challenges, sharing personal experiences, or co-creating viable solutions for the lipid disorder community. 

The agenda didn’t just focus on knowledge-sharing but also hands-on, practical sessions aimed at finding real-world solutions. Special attention was given to nutrition, with a focus on healthy, low-fat diets and accommodating diverse dietary requirements.
