In November 2023, we organized the national event ARIS Day 2023: Supporting Excellence for the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS). The event spanned two days and was held live at the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana. Activities from the main Union Hall on both days were also available for live viewing via a dedicated event website.

The first day of the event was dedicated to presenting innovations within ARIS and the role of the European Innovation Council in promoting innovation in Slovenia. Discussions also focused on the challenges of implementing open science in the Slovenian research landscape. These debates were followed by presentations showcasing the most notable research achievements of Excellence in Science 2023. The day concluded with a ceremonial reception honouring a new generation of young researchers.

The second day emphasised connections between scientific research and innovation ecosystem. Existing best practices of collaboration between science and industry were showcased, along with research projects and targeted research programs that concluded in 2022. The event concluded with highlights from key speakers. The second day of ARIS Day was organized by ARIS and SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency as a joint networking event between the implementing agencies ARIS and SPIRIT Slovenia under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Renowned host, Igor E. Bergant, led the event on both days.

At MA Marketing, we took care of:

  • Developing separate budgets and comprehensive cost control for each day separately
  • Selection, negotiation, and coordination of external service providers (for each day separately)
  • Venue capacities and event space preparation (GH Union, larger and smaller halls)
  • Rental of technical equipment and technical testing one day before the event
  • Live streaming of the event online with event recording
  • Technical preparations for remote speakers
  • Additional stage lighting and sound
  • Video production services
  • Recording, directing, and editing event video summaries
  • Event photography
  • Artistic program for the first day (musicians from the Academy of Music)
  • Moderator services in the grand hall (for each day separately)
  • Refreshments during breaks in the foyer
  • Designing the event scenario/schedule (for each day separately)
  • Establishing a dedicated landing page for the event, with two subpages for each event day
  • Content preparation for the website (for each day separately)
  • Preparation of various graphic materials
  • Preparation of promotional materials for the second day of the event
  • Design and execution of event promotion for both days together (preparation and distribution of invitations and event-related messages, press release preparation, website creation and design with program and registration form, live-streaming of the program from the main hall online, registration support for attendees on the day of the event, media coverage support, etc.)
  • Presence of hostesses (for each day separately)
  • Presence and supervision at the event (for each day separately)
  • Final report (for both days)
